Dating Ukrainian women is one of the purest activities known to heterosexual men. That's because Ukrainian women are some of the sexiest, feminine and down to earth women that you'll meet. For the most part, dating them is very straightforward, but there are a few things that you must know.
In this guide, I'll discuss everything you need to know in order to become successful when it comes to meeting, dating and even marriage (if you want) when it comes to Ukrainian women.
In this article, you'll learn the following:
What makes Ukrainian different from the rest of the women
The main mistakes foreigners make with Ukrainian women
How to correctly pursue Ukrainian women
Why you should never approach Ukrainian women on the street
And much, much more…
The man always pays
Since Ukraine is a very traditional and patriarchal society, the man is expected the fully pursue, court and pay for the woman.
Once in a while, you may meet a woman who wants to split the bill with you, and I must admit that's been happening more often than not lately. (If that happens, I recommend you to still pay because if she pays, it decreases her chances of seeing you again. If you don't like the girl, get her to pay for it.)
Typically, you're expected to pay not only in the courting phase but throughout the relationship. Later on, when you begin to date more or less seriously, it's not uncommon for her to start paying every now and again.
The man always courts
As a man, you're expected to make all the moves, not only initially, but as the relationship develops.
What I mean by that, is that you're fully expected to approach, ask her out, arrange dates and make sure she doesn't flake.
Later on, when the relationship develops, you are still expected to be the leader, that is, set the direction of the relationship, make decisions and make her feel secure of being with you.
That's because in Eastern Europe you have very strong gender polarities. The men are very masculine, expected to go out and make a ton of money and conquer the world. While the women are taught to be the complete opposite: feminine and submissive and help their men achieve what they want to achieve.
Don't be a jerk
In the west, it's very common for men to act like jerks/assholes to women in an attempt to get them to like them. This works because western women are somewhat masculine and love to compete with men (many are masculine that they outright make men seem feminine, but that's another story).
That's why you see lots of foreigners come to Ukraine and begin acting this way around women.
This is is a poor strategy. The reason is that Ukrainian women are not used and don't take very kindle when men act this way. They much prefer to be treated with respect even if they act bad themselves.
So, when you're in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, never act like a jerk or be an asshole. That may work in America, but women will simply ignore and brush you off in Ukraine. If the woman is acting bitchy, simply ignore her and move on. Never stoop down to her level. It's just not worth it.
Don't play her games
When you're initially in the courting phase, and you don't yet know the woman, you may meet women who're playing games. They may decide to show up late to dates, cancel out of the blue, or, even worse, blame it on you when something didn't work out—when you clearly know it was her fault, leaving you scratching your head and searching for a way to explain yourself.
I have met my share of such women, and I'm here to tell you that those types of women will never stop playing games. It's in their nature, and, especially if she's over 30, that probably explains why she's so single.
When I first arrived in Ukraine, I used to play her games, but over time, I realized that such a relationship never develop and it's a complete and utter waste of time.
My advice is if you feel something is off, confront her first. So, if she's late to date by over 10-15 mins, call her on it. If she does something else you don't like, do that as well.
Another example is of a girl who's super chatty but won't meet up for any reason. She's an attention whore who's just wasting your time. Cut her off.
But if she keeps doing that regardless, just cut off all contact with her and move on.
There are plenty of quality women who're just dying to go out with you and have a great time.
Avoid manipulative women
Ukrainian women have a reputation as being pretty manipulative in the former Soviet Union. Much more than Russian, Belarussian and Moldovan women.
Trust me, as someone who's lived here for many years, I know what I'm talking about.
That's because Ukrainian women know that they're beautiful and they know why western guys salivate over the chance of dating them.
So, they use that beauty to their advantage and try to get what they want out of men anyway they can.
Local guys know all this, so they know how to properly act around their women.
The way I look at it is if a Ukrainian woman is being super nice and friendly, chances are she's acting this way because she wants you to be in a good mood before she asks you to do something.
Of course, not all women are like this, but the majority of the beautiful ones you meet will act this way.
And why not? If they can get something out of a man, they will try to do it.
For instance, I wouldn't recommend buying endless gifts for your girl and just keep your gifts for important holidays. And never take your girl shopping!
Never put her above your purpose
A lot of Ukrainian women complain that all their men to do is just work, work, and work. Yes, they complain, but they keep dating their men and won't dump them.
The fact of the matter is that the hallmark of a good and quality man is someone who's obsessed with their purpose and work above all else.
Sure, while, it's important to not ignore your girlfriend and spend plenty of quality time with her, you should never forget everything that's in your life the moment a new girl enters your life.
After all, the reason she was attracted to you in the first place was because of your ambitions to conquer the world not because you forgot about everything the moment you met her.
Stay this way.
Never show weakness
While this applies to pretty much any relationship, it's super important to never ever show weakness in a relationship—even if you did something wrong.
Ukrainian women are experts at understanding men and can smell a weakness a mile away. That means even if you did something wrong like promised to come home at 7 pm but showed up at 7:30 pm, don't say that it's your fault and that you're eternally sorry for the misstep.
The key is to never let your woman see you as this weak man who's ready to apologize at every turn.
Of course, there are levels to this. If you really screwed up with something and your girl is genuinely upset, then you may want to soften up and say that you understand what happens and "we should work so that never happens again."
In other words, saying "sorry," should be something you do "once in a while" and reserved for those very special moments.
No woman—and especially Ukrainian woman—wants to be with a man who's apologizing all the time for something that he may not even be at fault about.
Enjoy your girlfriend
Sure, I've given you some tactical advice above that may put you in a guarded state and even make you feel a bit paranoid. And, while, the advice I've given you is based on my many years of living in Ukraine, it's also important for you to feel comfortable with the woman you're with instead of always seeing if she's testing you and not giving in.
After all, the purpose of dating a Ukrainian girlfriend is so that you can enjoy her love, femininity, and submissiveness that Ukrainian girls are so well known for.
The last thing you want to do become super paranoid because you're afraid your girl is playing you and emasculating you.
Keep it cool, enjoy her love, but never hesitate to break things off if she stops being an asset in your life and becomes a liability instead.
While I've dated plenty of Ukrainian girls who fit into the category above, there are also plenty of women who are sheer quality and can universally improve your life in endless ways.
Until then, stay alert and understand that dating in Ukraine is, in many ways, a sort of a struggle where you must always remain strong no matter what.
